When Obama spoke to BBC last week he stressed his frustration over not being able to secure more gun control and suggested that the guns outweigh terrorism as a threat to Americans’ safety.
Obama’s exact words: “If you look at the number of Americans killed since 9/11 by terrorism, it’s less than 100. If you look at the number that have been killed by gun violence, it’s in the tens of thousands.”
In the lead up to this statement, Obama mentioned “mass killings” with guns but did not mention mass killings or attempted mass killings in which those holding the guns were jihadists.
He said, “The United States of America is the one advanced nation on earth in which we do not have sufficient common-sense, gun-safety laws.” However, it is not that America does not have gun control. Rather, it is that Americans increasingly see that gun control does not stop criminals from acting out their criminality, therefore support for more gun laws has waned.
For example, the push to expand background checks to cover more types of sales had a lot of momentum nearly three years ago, then Americans noticed that those behind the high profile, mass killings were passing background checks to get their guns. Since Sandy Hook alone (December 2012), attackers and alleged attackers like John Russell Houser (Lafayette), Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez (Chattanooga), Dylann Roof (Charleston), Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi (Garland), Jared and Amanda Miller (Las Vegas), Elliot Rodger (Santa Barabara), Ivan Lopez (Fort Hood 2014), Darion Marcus Aguilar (Maryland mall), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Paul Ciancia (LAX), Andrew John Engeldinger (Minneapolis), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), and Tennis Melvin Maynard (West Virginia), acquired guns via a background check. So what benefit do Americans gain from expanding such checks?

America has ceased being a Christian nation that the founding fathers intended it to be, and at some point in the last half century or so the anti-Christian segment of the population became the majority. Unless the American people turn back to the Christian God of the bible and our founding fathers, our nationwide descent into a virtual hell on earth will become faster with every day that passes.
I'm just glad that by virtue of my age I probably won't be here to see that hell on earth become reality, but I'm immeasurably sad that my kids and grand-kids will be.

Obama is a Marxist. Any question about that?
Marxism is about class warfare. Obama has designated the white armed middle class as the “class enemy”.
This “class enemy” is perceived to interfere with the imposition of Obama’s Marxian agenda the same as it was perceived by communist to have done in prerevolutionary Russia & China. But in each case the Red revolution was assisted to victory by cataclysmic events beyond its control. We’re not there, at least not quite yet.
The extermination of the “bourgeoisie” became a primary goal once the revolutionaries became the new ruling class.
I’m no Marxist, of course, but there’s nothing unsound in adopting the enemy’s way of thinking in order to understand their strategic goals.
That’s the big picture. Obama & Feinstein & Soros versus the NRA & conservatives. Now...let’s go down to street level. Google Josh Sugarmann & Amitai Etzioni. These guys push a strategy of isolating & scapegoating gun rights advocates. They tell parents to forbid their children from playing in the homes of known gun owners. It’s a short step from this to a general declaration that “gun owners are just not our kind of people & we won’t associate with them or invite them into our homes.”
Substitute “Jews” for “gun owners” and you’re a step closer to Kristallnacht. Except in 1938 the Jews in Germany were disarmed & helpless. Gun owners by the nature of what we possess or not.
Therefore we become Obama’s new class enemy. Targeted individuals within this enemy class may find themselves designated as “enemy of the people”.
Midnight knock on the door, anyone?
Oh - I forgot. You don’t need the KGB for a home invasion by government agents. Just a disgruntled liberal neighbor who resents you & calls in a SWAT raid with a trembling “there are guns in that house and I heard shots fired and I’m afraid for my life.”

He wants to quote “cut down on gun violence” but he REFUSES to take the steps necessary to cut down on gun violence and instead is going after LAW ABIDING gun owners
IF he were serious, he would make a presidential decree to go after GANGS I n this country, and going after unlawful gun owners in inner cities- he would disarm ghetto thugs and go after drug lords and their entourage
But he, and all liberals are COWARDS- they will not go after the actual cause of gun violence, and like the mass shooter cowards, they go after ‘soft targets’ like LEGAL gun owners because they know legal gun owners comply with the law-

No, not on their own. I have had two misfires, one squib, and early on, an unintentional discharge downrange (semiauto pistol) which hammered home the ‘finger off the trigger’ rule, even though it was the second shot. The latter, to use the same metric I would use with anyone else, was negligent, not ‘accidental’.

Fact; according to a pair of Harvard professors who made a survey of European gun laws, the murder rate in post-Soviet Russia is almost 4 times the US rate.
Guns are strictly illegal for the great majority of Russians except for licensed hunters during hunting season. Therefore, according to the US gun-grabbers Russia should have far fewer murders than the US. Maybe if Russia also banned knives, axes, hammers, scissors, clubs, ropes, rat poison, etc, etc, their murder rate might come down to only 3 times ours.
Another fact, people are people in every nation, and people are the human species' worst enemies no matter what inanimate objects they use to kill one another.
