EPA Chief: Climate Change Is Fact Because Bad Weather Leads the News
pjmedia.com ^ | 7/27/2015 | Nicholas Ballasy

EPA administrator Gina McCarthy said there is no need to continue debating the science behind climate change.

“I can remember a day when the weather report was in the middle of the domestic and international news and took about a minute and a half. It wasn’t the news. When you go on the news today the first thing you’ll hear about is the weather. So there is a dramatic difference in the way people perceive the ability of the climate to impact their lives because they’re feeling it today,” McCarthy said during an event sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor.

“I think we need to make it very clear and not continue to debate the science. I think we need to get more people speaking about it than EPA, or NOAA or NASA. I mean, those people are great and looked at as being experts, not necessarily the best at making climate change science personal for people so they understand it,” she added.

Brainwashing. It happens every day on ABC’s Good Morning America. The wife watches it and they treat every thunderstorm like its the end of the world.

This is satire, right? Otherwise she’s about as smart as Steve Martin being shot at by an assassin and Martin declares, “He’s after the cans! Stay away from those cans!”

Betsy and Camille both were New Orleans/Biloxi/Gulfport storms. I got back to Bay St. Louis about 2 days after Camille that went ashore around Pass Christian. Devastating storm but it missed NOLA. Betsy on the other hand was pretty devastating to NOLA. Had Katrina not veered to the east just a little before coming ashore, there wouldn’t have been much left of NOLA. Slidell, Waveland, Bay St. Louis, Gulfport and Biloxi took much more of a hit than NOLA. Again. Not to diminish the damage to NOLA but there’s no doubt it could have been much worse. Oddly enough there wasn’t much in the news about that. (/s) Hell, they’re still talking about Katrina.

“If it bleeds it leads” used to be and still is the lead on the evening news. But a close second is weather related footage. Is it because weather events are becoming much more common and violent, or might it be the easy availability of smart phones and digital cameras that allow easy uploading to the internet?

Come on folks, it’s today’s technology that makes it seem that weather is so much more extreme and dangerous. Back 20 years or earlier, it would rate a short paragraph on the back page of the daily rag next to the nation’s temperature readings.

Do they ever explain the contradictions????

They are not contradictions, they are nuances, and you as a "denier" are too stupid to understand them. There, see how that that explains away your question?

Instant info and news make the data quickly and easily available where a decade or two ago things didn’t seem as bad because the info wasn’t flashed globally within minutes of occurring. Quicker reporting tends to be a false sense of doom. Not only that, but when things are made available so quickly, erroneous “facts” are spewed and once out of the bag, they are hard to get back under control. Front page “facts” are corrected later in section D page 8 in small font.

Electing Obama prevented elephant attacks. Have you seen any news about elephant attacks in the U.S. since Obama was elected? There is the proof.

According to this kind of “science” Donald Trump must be our current President.

The wife watches it and they treat every thunderstorm like its the end of the world.
Our local stations (Rochester NY) are the worst. At least four or five times a week, unending alerts scroll across the screen warning us of impending doom via thunderstorms, flash flooding, high winds, etc.
In the winter, every snowstorm is the "storm of the century" as if we hadn't had snow before. And the temperatures are always given as a wind chill, as if we lived in Siberia or worked outdoors all day.
Enough already.

"I noticed something in the weather charts, used to be 90 degrees was RED, now 75 degrees is RED!"

And now they have started naming every cloud as if it was a Major hurricane. Insurance companies change the deductible for named storms and, so...

We have an old USA Today from 1998 and the weather map shows green for the 70’s. Today they show green for the 50’s and 60’s.

Climate change is true because climate change believers talk about the weather. Yeah that’s logical.

Climate Change is Fact. Climate Change has been fact for millennia of millennia. I challenge any greenie anywhere to show evidence that there has ever been a period of Climate Stasis on the Earth.

Uh, no Gina. The Global Warming Hoax is being perpetrated in the same way that a 2-3% population of homosexuals in this country now can get legally “married” and are trying to cram homosexuality as ‘normal’ down everyone’s throats, including those of religious faith. Per Stacy Swimp (outspoken black minister in Michigan), he says that wealthy homos infiltrated PACs, etc. and got their money talking to the politicians who then abandoned all morals, values & decency & acquiesced. Global Warming also involves big money - a redistribution of money ... from hard working taxpayers to people like AlGore who are making a mint off of it. It’s also a way for Dems/Libs/Progs & Big Government to gain even more control over the every day lives of the American people. If anything, the fact that the Enemedia is covering the weather every day is not a sign that Global Warming is a ‘fact’, but more one of it being a ‘fraud’.

1. Weathermen have been replaced by weatherwomen.

2. These weatherwomen by-and-large have large breasts.

3. If I wanted people to watch my show I'd start off with lovely women with large breasts turning sideways to point at a map.
