I suppose it’s theoretically possible he was taken out of context somehow. Highly unlikely, though - I mean, he repeated himself twice and what he said was pretty clear.
More likely that he got caught up in defending his client against idiotic allegations (I’m no Trump fan, but c’mon), and said something monumentally stupid. And unnecessary - it goes without saying that just because a husband can rape his wife doesn’t mean Truml did, so why go there at all?
