Exactly. This “attack” tactic completely changes the narrative. The old school of thought is complete panic over a statement such as this. However, I’m sure this isn’t even a blip on the radar for a fighter. Most GOP candidates would defensively try to explain and explain their “definition” over and over (for weeks on end) until they become unintelligible.

On the other hand (and in this case), there are multiple outs. The atty could say that there isn’t a rape if there is no accusation of rape (which fits this case). Also, the atty can keep attacking by saying that this was an attempt to libel his client and keep pushing the litigation angle.

Conversely, DT could say he doesn’t like what his atty is saying or the article. He could fire the atty and still threaten litigation and come out remaining a fighter.
