I would probably say they are more “honest” not “moral”. Both situations are immoral, but I guess honesty always counts for something.
IMO, anything can be moral under certain considerations (and with future developed technologies) as long as all involved are honest and aware.
Theft by deception can NEVER be moral, no-matter what technology is developed. By definition, at least one party is always deceived.

Our definitions of morality must differ, then. I do understand what you mean, however.
Tell me something immoral where all people are honest.
I can tell you why it is immoral now and how it can be made moral.

The Western Civilization is collapsing because we forget to tell men how to be masculine.
My brother and sisters ate them all the time. I managed to get past the appearance and smell, took a bite and promptly spit it out on the floor.
Maybe it has something to do with them being Socialists and me being a Christian Conservative.
