Keep in mind, the Syrian Civil War started in 2011. The American Civil War started in 1861 and ended in 1865. Unfortunately, in Syria, there's no end in sight.

Unfortunately? What end are you looking forward to?

Now that the US has aligned with Iran and has agreed to protect their WMD programs and infuse their war chest with billions, just a matter of time before Iran and Assad win.

What Assad has to look forward to if he stays in Syria. His army is down to 40,000 effectives. And Iran is big, but it's army can barely get out of its own way. Think Russia in WW1 or Nationalist China in WW2.

“its” not “it’s”. FR has been around since the Pleistocene and still doesn’t have an edit function. :(

Assad could probably retreat to a rump Alawite State indefinitely.

Been hearing that for 4 years now.
