On Mondays edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to talk about current news in politics. Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the recent dust-up between Ted Cruz, senior Texas Senator John Cornyn and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
On the impact of Senator Cruzs recent comments on the floor of the Senate where he called Senator McConnell a liar, Mackowiak said,
Cruzs impact as a U.S. Senator is going to be minimal going forward. You know, hes going to be persona non grata within the Senate Republican leadership. And if youre a conservative you may think thats great, but if youre a Texan, you know, you might be wondering what is Cruz going to be doing the rest of his Senate term.
Mackowiak also talked about the debut Republican debate scheduled for August 06 in Cleveland, OH, and which candidates will likely be selected to appear. Hasty and Mackowiak specifically discussed Rick Perrys chances at being in the debate. The latest news on Donald Trump was also a topic in the conversation.

Here we go........
Never heard of either. Am I missing something? Should his opinion matter to me?
I was one of those that wanted people to turn out for Mitch vs Alison Lundergan Grimes. I was wrong.
The GOPe stealing the election from Chris McDaniel in Mississippi was the last straw from me and the GOPe. If the GOPe gives us one of their lame choices like Jeb, they can count on me pulling for someone else.
I now dislike the republican party almost as much as I do the democrats.
The sleazebags in power for the GOPe attack conservatives more than they do democrats.
I asked in another thread, “What has the GOP controlled senate and the house kept Obama from doing?”
Agree. I will vote for conservatives only. If it means RINOs losing the presidency, the house, and the senate, so be it.
The GOPe has been using conservatives for long enough. They don’t represent us.
Are you referring to Cruz?
More accurately, your problem is with Washington -- the Washington Cartel.
Indeed, it boils down to "Washington vs The Rest Of Us".
Senate is small potato compared to what is coming for Cruz — the VP under Trump?
And you deserve credit for admitting that. If the rest would instead of bulling ahead intent on repeating the past, and intentionally leading others to believe the lesser evil crap, we would be on the road to fixing this.
But many are determined to support the problem in DC rather than solve it and make excuses why we just have to empower more evil.
People in KY see something no one else can.
Pat Buchanan tried to tell us this in the 1990s, but we wouldn’t listen.
They said that after his filibuster too.
I loved that he said he is “willing to say things that are not true” very classy, IMO.
Honestly, I had little tolerance for people like me. I thought that we had to take control of the senate for Obama’s last two years. Obviously, that has not done us any good.
What the GOPe did to Chris McDaniel in Mississippi was the beginning of the end for me. These sleazy republicans were actually paying black inner city democrats to vote in their primary. The GOPe are no better than the democrats.
I am no longer a republican. I know others that have said the same. I will be voting for conservative candidates.
Here’s what I mean about people continuing the BS

Good example.
There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between Jeb and Hillary. If you have a clown like Jeb get elected, people then see that nothing changes. They get tired of backing useless and spineless GOPe candidates.
I don’t think its time to abandon the fight for the GOP yet but, I did predict Ted Cruz would form a new second party about this time back in 2014 if the GOP did not follow through on the mid term election promises they had made.
Post it and it will happen.
Ding, ding, ding, Daniel knows his stuff!
