Tomorrow, I will return my Eagle Scourt Metal to the BSA and request that I be removed from their records and listing of Eagle Scouts.
I was always proud to say that I AM an Eagle Scout. It is with a saddened heart that I will have to sheepesly admit that is WAS an Eagle Scout.
If you had asked me on the day on my Eagle Scout award, “Will homosexuals be able to invade and destroy BSA in the next few decades?” I would have looked at you like you were from outer space. (At the time, I’m not sure what a homosexual really was.)
In retrospect, Scouting years were the best of my young adult life. I am so sorry that so many young men will not have a similar experience.
It is truely a sad day for America.

I cannot imagine the grief you are experiencing. I was in Scouting for a few years, and made it such a big part of my life as you. I was elected to the Order and made most of the camping trips that were organized. It taught me so much.
That such an integral part of a good portion of Americans’ boyhood has been invaded and overcome by sexual perverts is surreal to a degree that I still cannot fathom.
