On this day in 1974, the House of Representatives charges President Richard M. Nixon with the first of three articles of impeachment for obstruction of justice after he refused to release White House tape recordings that contained crucial information regarding the Watergate scandal.

He has, acting personally and through his subordinates and agents, endeavoured to obtain from the Internal Revenue Service, in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, confidential information contained in income tax returns for purposed not authorized by law, and to cause, in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, income tax audits or other income tax investigations to be intitiated or conducted in a discriminatory manner.

Also Nixon stayed out of the limelight, he gave advice to Republicans but he kept himself out of the press. Unlike Slick who’s all over the place.

All of Nixon’s acts were child’s play compared to what Obama and his minions have perpetrated and covered up at every level of the federal government, and that includes his former Secretary of State.
