McConnell might be in a position to win each battle, but he is well on his way to losing the war.
At this stage, everybody who is paying attention now knows that he is a liar -- nobody is refuting it. And there is a growing realization of exactly what is going on and why things aren't working.

I know but Trump would attack mercilessly. Cruz should follow through and attack McConnell so as to make the fight so visible that Americans will naturally side with Cruz.
