Trumps current strength comes from GOP weakness and broken promises.

The fix is quite simple. Address the issues of millions of conservatives
and don’t break promises and there would be no room for the Trumps
and Perot’s of the world.

Until that happens there will always be a vaccum.

the establishment candidates (plural) like Jbush will just glom onto the words as a magic talisman. They will recite the words and then screw the voters. (see McCain)

I share all of your frustrations.

Don’t think Trump is the answer.

We need another Reagan, not another Perot IMHO.

The Democratic Party have been sitting ducks for several decades. A well thought out conservative agenda that was articulated, implemented, and defended in Congress would have shattered the Democrats into a million pieces. Such a blown opportunity to make this country prosperous and strong and the GOP blew it. I’m afraid that even if Cruz or Walker gains the nomination they’ll be attached to the bloated, rotting carcass of the Republican Party that is hated by many people including their own party members. The anger of the American people towards the political class is at all time highs and Trump, the non-politician, is reaping the political rewards from it.
