TRUMP NO LONGER EVEN PRETENDS TO BE A REPUBLICAN
Powerline ^ | July 26, 2015 | John Hinderker

Scott Walker’s budget reforms in Wisconsin are one of modern conservatism’s greatest success stories. So why would Donald Trump attack them? Because 1) he is not a Republican, and 2) he is not a conservative. Trump went after Walker yesterday:

I just can’t see Trump actually letting people vote on him. I don’t think his ego would be able to emotionally accept a rejection and anything less than 100% will feel like a rejection to him. I think he’ll prefer to be able to say he would have won big, but he had to get out because . . . .

"Not voting is like casting a vote for Hillary or Bernie or Uncle Joe.

Hold your nose if you have to..."

There is no damn way I'm buying that again, sorry. I "held my nose" in 2012 and cast a vote for a liberal, but it ain't happening again. And I don't give a rip if the AntiChrist is the Dem opponent.

A liberal is a liberal, and if you cast a vote for one from either party, expect the same results.

Hold your nose if you have to...

In 2008, I followed that advice and voted for McCain. My reward was that they gave the nomination to Romney in 2012. I voted for a third-party candidate in 2012. Those who voted for Romney should understand that their vote just encouraged people to believe that they can get away with nominating somebody like Bush this time.

The "hold your nose" strategy is what the GOP-e wants you to do.

LOL!

Trump is currently worth 10 Billion Dollars in the private sector?

How much money did Walker make in the private sector?????

Walker has been LEACHING off the tax payers for years...

He has barely worked in the private sector job.

The longest job he held in the private sector was flipping burgers at McDonald’s.....

But you want to say this college drop knows more about the private sector money than Trump?

Brilliant!!!!

No need for sarcasm. I’m with Trump, too, right now at least. I just hope he stays on the reservation, that’s all.

Enlightened1:

George Soros, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs made colossal amounts of money in "the private sector." I would not want any of them or ANYONE ideologically like any of them to be in the White House. Come to think of it, ideologically at least, we already have someone like them in the White House.

Call me eccentric. I don't trust Trump. Trump's ongoing temper tantrum against Mexican illegal immigrants notwithstanding, where do I go to get my country back after he gets to appoint several SCOTUS justices?

Where is The Donald on the babies? What reason would he have to lie?

Where is The Donald on marriage? No, no, not his own several marriages! Does he think that marriage should be limited to one man and one woman?

Transgender"ism?" Didn't The Donald allow a "transgendered" "Miss" Universe contestant to compete in his contest a few years ago?

Foreign policy? He sounds rough and tough but how WILL he react when the anti-personnel bombs (x 1000) go off in one night at obscure movie theaters all over the US? See Brad Thor's novel Full Black.

Aahhhh, but Trump is a good man of business!!!! So are the greedypigs who run the US Chambers of Crony Commerce! So what! And I am giving Trump the benefit of the doubt on the business front after all those bankruptcies.

I like Scott Walker a whole lot since he operates just across the border from my Northern Illinois residence. We haven't had anyone like him since Ronaldus Maximus who also had plenty of trouble from Nancy, Little Ronnie Tutu and Patti and Maureen.

I also think Ted Cruz is as good a POTUS candidate as any of us have ever seen.

IF The Donald has America's best economic interests at heart, he will be willing to be hired by Walker or Cruz. If not, not! I personally don't give a sh*t about the respective knowledge of private sector money among the various candidates. If that were the standard, we would be trying to elect Peter Schiff or Economics Professor Domenic Armentano either of whom have forgotten more than The Donald will ever know about mere money.

$$$$ ought not to be any higher than about fiftieth on any actual conservative's list of priorities. Those who obsess on money already have Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, LAMAR!!! Alexander, Thad Cockroach, Weepy John Boehner, Kevin McCarthy, etc.

Do you actually believe that another semester at Milwaukee's notoriously leftist and Jesuit Marquette University would make a better credential for POTUS???? Puhleeze!

Not voting is like casting a vote for Hillary or Bernie or Uncle Joe.

Mathematically, materially, and literally FALSE.

Even when you vote "against" a ballot proposition, mathematically/materially/literally, you are voting FOR nixing it. Voting "against" is one hundred percent illusion, imaginary, wishful thinking. Voting "against" is like "killing time" -- solely an EXPRESSION of intent, and VOID of action.

Hold your nose if you have to... which is exactly what you have to do when you eat crap. Your nose is WARNING YOU. You ignore it at your peril. In 2012, you voted FOR a pro-abortion, pro-nationalized-health-care, pro-gun control, pro-homosexual agenda, pro environmentalist president.

You voted for all those things because you were holding your nose so tight that you didn't smell the crap you were trying to force on ME. Thank God Romney lost, because YOU would be responsible for all the leftist socialist crap he'd be advocating because you voted FOR all that crap.

Dammit, Rooster and all the rest of you who insist on equating intention (voting "against") with action (voting for a politician who advocates for wrong things), stop being such intellectual cowards that you refuse to be accountable for your actions and whining that you intend to vote "against" unicorns and tooth fairies -- voting "against" is fantasy, mathematically, literally, AND materially.

OWN WHAT YOU VOTE FOR or stay home.

Respectfully disagree.

Imagine there is a battle this afternoon and your clan is threatened by an enemy who might defeat and annihilate your entire clan which includes your family and all your distant cousins.

Unfortunately, the guy who is leading your clan is a cousin you hate.

He is nothing like you. He is a scumbag in the eyes of your family.

What do you do?

Do you stay home with your direct family...or do you go out into the field of battle with your clan?

In my eyes, we need to keep our eyes on the bigger picture.

If we save the clan, we save our family.

We can then regroup and get rid of our jackass cousin later.

Of course, please tell me where I am wrong?

Great post.

You know, if you vote for Trump you might as well vote for Hillary or Bernie or Uncle Joe. The man is telling us STRAIGHT OUT that he is a Democrat.

And conservatives STILL refuse to hear it.

Sleep on it and think about it in the morning.

I'm not the bad guy...I just want our American family to live through this.

We are at war to save our country.

I know it's hard for true conservatives to deal with this scum. I'm one of the conservative. But I am going to fight...and win.

You are right of course, but this is not a war between right and wrong...this is a war between those on both side who are willing to fight.

This is not a battle about principle. Battles might be caused in part by principle...but they are won by heart, mind, soul, and spirit.

Let's don't let these SOB's take our country.

I have great respect for both of you...you probably don't even know who I am.

That said, Finny's post was shallow and lacking in logic.

Yes I know, Finny is very wise...but not every post we make is smart and wise.

I should know...I am a regular idiot.

But in this matter, I am not an idiot.

Sleep on it...and report back if it is not too much trouble.

Rooster, I know you're not the bad guy. But you have to understand that if, in your desperation to save the country, you knowingly elect a liberal and actually expect him to do so, you'll have to share in the blame when the country is gone. Because you will have helped bring it about.

You are 100% wrong when you say that this isn't a battle of right and wrong or of principle. The only way you can believe that is to believe there's no God in heaven. I can tell you He's there.

I voted for the lesser evil in 2012. I had spent quite a bit of time praying about it, especially after Romney made his statement that two people of the same sex who "love each other" should be able to adopt children. And I was getting a very strong conviction to just avoid voting.

Then Benghazi happened. I caved and voted for Romney out of fear. The very next day I went to pray and it was as if God wasn't even there. That day began a spiritual crisis for me that lasted quite a long time. I had asked repeatedly for God's guidance, and when He gave it to me, I ignored it.

I vowed to Him and to my husband that would never happen again. And it won't, whether I "sleep on it" or not. I will never, ever cast a vote for another liberal.

That includes Trump. The man is telling us he's a Democrat. Besides that, I've never been able to stand him. I think he's a sleaze, and his treatment of Michelle Malkin was just confirmation of my opinion.

So unless you're going to stand in front of God for me, and mediate, and guarantee me you'll have success, no argument will change my mind.

We have an incredibly solid, principled, courageous man of integrity named Ted Cruz who is a Constitutional conservative. If we toss him aside to vote in some sleazebag reality TV show celebrity, we will deserve what we get...and that is to lose and to suffer what comes afterward.

Friend, my last post detailed just how much chance there is of me changing my mind after "sleeping on it." Even if sleep for the next seventy years.

If we get behind him, and if conservatives will wake up, they can climb quickly.

I think the debates will be good for his numbers.

That was not a small issue in the Senate Sunday....that was huge! And yes the Candidates should have something to say about it....the silence is deafening.
