On Sunday morning the American Flag on top of City Hall in Downtown Reno was replaced by the LGBT Flag following a gay pride celebration this weekend. By Sunday evening, the LGBT flag was taken down and now the American Flag is back up.
The decision to replace the flag has been controversial. Many locals have expressed concerns over the American flag's removal. Around 9:00 p.m. our Channel 2 News crew was able to confirm the LGBT flag was taken down around 9:00 p.m. Sunday, and the American Flag was put back in its place.
The City of Reno released this statement to Channel 2 News saying; "The city of Reno honors and respects the men and women who serve our country and we apologize to those we may have offended. While we made an error in not flying the American flag along with the pride flag, when we discovered we were not flying both, we immediately returned to flying the American flag. Neither the Mayor nor City Council was aware we were not flying the American flag. The City was proud to participate in pride weekend and will continue to celebrate our diverse community."

I was planning on moving from Sparks to Reno.
Nope. Not now.
One of the women who works at the Sparks Nugget front desk is ex Navy, Presidential detail for Ronald Reagan.
Worth staying there just to chat with her.
This is nothing but an alien invasion and toppling of America.
Mine came down a certain night in Nov 2012 and has only been back up on days like the 4th of July, Memorial day, Flag day, Veterans day. Otherwise, it stays in the closet properly folded. In any case, her honor the mayor should have somebody’s ass for allowing the swap. Of course if that happens there will be cries of discrimination, bigotry, racisim, homophobia and on and on and on. Any bets on someone stepping forward and admitting they were responsible?
That’s a whole lot of “ pride” isn’t it?
And the churches are now compelled to sanctify this? Boy Scouts to be led by this? “Dignity” imposed by the USSC?
Most conservative and orthodox religions have flags, and it sends a powerful message when people of faith raise their religious flag, *above* the US flag, that God is superior to man.
Technically, it is a violation of “flag etiquette”, but such etiquette is meaningless to those who would hoist a homosexual flag, so if they complain, they can be told to “bugger off”.
