My youngest son (39 now) lost most of the hearing in his left ear after getting one of these great vaccinations.

I will never forget the day my adopted daughter (now 29) was to be vaccinated with her first MMR. While waiting, I happened to pick up a copy of Time magazine that included an article on the benefits of the MMR vaccine. It addressed the 'small risk' that accompanies any vaccine, citing statistics on children who had reactions, be it after the 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the series, including several deaths. Frightened, I addressed this with the pediatrician who, not surprisingly, cited positive statistics on lives saved. My daughter struggled through school and was later assessed with dyslexia and ADHD. In speaking with her birth mother, I learned there was no history of this in the family. When she was in her teens, pediatricians were advocating for the Hep C and chicken pox vaccines, both of which I rejected.

Several years ago, I met a man whose son had severe autism and lived in a special home. This gentleman and his wife devoted all of their free time to visiting their son in that home. He was their only child.
