Carter gave away the Canal, ultimately to the Chinese. Hussein MUST give away Guantanamo to the Castros.
I have believed from day one he would ultimately give Guantanamo to Cuba. I am only surprised that it took him this long. I thought it would happen within months of taking office the first time.
Not the first time my crystal ball was out of calibration. I thought Castro would die during W’s administration and he would oversee the return of Cuba to the free world. Again, didn’t happen.
I’ll say that is his plan.
Empty the prison. (Inmates to white hut cabinet positions.)
Convert the base to bo’s personal retirement location.

What’s the use of closing Guantanamo. The entire country will still be a prison.
I doubt the President has the “the unilateral authority” to give away Gitmo. But since when does Obamo let that stop him?
