LOL, didn’t know about that.
Well, it’s not as if he and others don’t know about El Chapo (sp?).
He has made enough of a splash in something hotly controversial in the larger body politic that matters to a lot of people that he could inspire a nut to do something drastic — to him.
Mason is an exceptionally bright fellow. Im in the minority that never especially cared for his act, but smarts he definitely has. Worth listening to

Isn’t he also a Jewish Rabbi? ...I seem to recall seeing him several years ago on some program where he was discussing that fact with the host.
The main problem I always had with Mason was that I found it very difficult to understand what he was saying, because he had such a thick accent.
At least the visible ones.
On a different matter, the question looms before us. Do we want to hold out for the Perfect Mr. Right, or do we want a decent Christianity-respecting agnostic (as best we can tell) who hits a lot of the high points well and shows signs of the Reaganic “great communicator” gift.
I think the hankering for the Perfect Mr. Right might be pent up longing for the Lord that has gone unrequited, and God might not be planning to pacify us with another Ronald Reagan. He might be planning to let earth be visibly imperfect enough that we all individually embrace the Lord into it as though what our eternities will be like, depends upon it. And actually it does depend on it. I don’t mean that, after salvation is accepted, we can permanently go back to an eternal hell; but we can find a needlessly hellish passage on earth to wallow in and a scanty reward afterwards if we are lax.

Per Wikipedia he spent 3 years as a rabbi and then became a comedian.
Some wags might say that being a rabbi was too sad an experience for Mason... anyhow it is clear he found his forte in humor.
Everyone is ignoring Trump. Brett Bairs casino hardly has any money on him. Theyre all in for Bush.

I agree that it’s funny to see their bets. It’s also funny to me that they keep betting on Rubio and Walker, as I don’t believe either of them will win the nomination. ...I think the panel is too addicted to reading the daily polls done by liberal sources.
I think that was Joey Bishop.
Trump carries so if someone tries to take him out hopefully Trump will blow their head off. Wouldn’t that be something. First POTUS candidate to take out a would be assassin.
I don’t remember either the anteater or the panther talking. Their stories were narrated. Maybe Bishop was the narrator?
Thanks for the reply. I thought he was still a Rabbi.
And Trump files a notch on his gun saying “This was for you, El Chapo.”
America would go crazy.
No, but I was wrong as well. From Wikipedia:
The cartoon follows attempts of a blue aardvark named Aardvark (voiced by John Byner, impersonating comedian Jackie Mason), to catch and eat a red ant named Charlie (also voiced by John Byner, but impersonating Dean Martin)...
I don’t know if the ecclesial status can be removed if one doesn’t practice, short of something like a defrocking. Could be he views his schtick as a kind of ministry. Just telling the truth is ministry from God in a sense.
OK, this was a different cartoon series from the Pink Panther of Saturday cartoon mornings of old. The Aardvark would make cameo appearances on it. During these latter cartoons, neither he nor the Pink Panther actually spoke.
I am keeping him in prayer!!!!!!
I continue to pray for discernment and wisdom regarding this next election, and especially Trump
I have been praying for mercy for our nation....
And Trump has brought the first ray of genuine excitement and hope in a long long time.
He even puts a smile on my face.
God COULD use Trump to help us.
I sincerely hope He is.
Many times , throughout the Bible, God has used broken, imperfect people to accomplish His purposes.
I've heard him do a schtick where he says he starts out as a rabbi, but then sticks in a joke here and there. People think he is funny, so he throws in more jokes. Soon, he is so popular, the synagogue puts in a cover charge.. and so on, and that's how he came to be a comedian.
Or maybe he’s old enough to remember freedom of speech
