Okay legal eagles, question;

If I am bat $hit crazy, and do something that causes my family to get a judge to issue an order of protection against me, can I walk into a gun store / pawn shop, pass the federal background check, and purchase a weapon?

From the article: Houser was estranged from his family and had mental health issues. He applied for gun but did not pass the background check.

None of the anti firearms laws are expected to be enforced or work. They are all just incremental steps toward civilian disarmament. If one accidentally were enforced and actually worked the real goal would be lost. Can’t have that.
