It’s annoying how having her own server is glossed over so frequently. Her answer that it was “easier” to do this is ludicrous on the face of it. The only thing made easier by having your own entire system, is hiding information.
Ludicrous would be my definition.
What is easier? Having to use a system pre-populated/setup or obtaining the hardware, obtaining the software, installing, hardening the system, setting up storage/backups, maintaining, etc.?
