Trump is playing the media, and Cruz is the adult in the room. For them to be working against each other is not in the interests of the US, or conservatism.

If any two people need to find a way to work together, these two people do.

In fact, if you consider what Trump is doing right now, it is what every good VP has done for every successful admin - say the things the President shouldn’t say.

The thing about George S Patton, was for all his reputation for ego, Patton was an engineer. He figured out how to make things work and made them work. He was the first to combine close air support with infantry and armor.

How’d he do it? As much as he said he hated the air folks, he listened to them. They patiently explained how 10 seconds in the air translated to miles on the ground, and that wind and other conditions made it difficult to get a plane from the runway to a point over ground at a precise time.

Instead, if the air support were to be allowed some leeway in controlling the time of the attack, the support he needed would be there. He took them up on it, and the rest was history. So many lives were saved on the ground in US forces.

Trump might have that humility. I don’t think Trump beats Cruz in a debate, especially since they agree with one another on almost everything.

Can Trump be President - I don’t know. Can he communicate? You bet. Cruz is not the kind of guy that wants to tap into anger to win, but at the same time people are pissed, and he’s going to have to reckon that and reflect that his actions, not words, reflect that.

That Cruz ceded the mike knowing he was going to pound the crap out of Code Pink, of all groups, and sent them away questioning their entire life is something I’ve never seen before in politics. Not even Reagan had the sack to do what Cruz did in that video.

Cruz, in a just world, should be President. I don’t even think its debatable now. Imagine a President that gets there are certain people you can’t negotiate with. Some wars that have to be fought.

How do we recknon all of this? Cruz and Trump. Can Trump work with like-minded people? Cruz can work with any kind of people, it seems. I’m literally sitting here shaking my head thinking about it.

I feel we are staring into the abyss, and we have an active enemy in the White House. How much more damage can he do before he leaves without destroying his party is the question.

I could see Trump in Cruz’s Cabinet.

I don't know if Trump really in his heart wants to be President but I am just about 100% sure he doesn't want to be someone else's VP.
