Day 6: When the National Guard is told to seize Texas because they couldn’t pay their $100,000,000,000,000 bill, Civil War breaks out.

BTW, California and New York defaulted on their $1,000 bill, but for some reason Obama did not call out the National Guard on them...

Well, the scenario _does_ give 6 months for the parties involved to hash out any differences & objections. That would be a whole lot more productive than what we’ve got in place now, where the states don’t objectively give a d@mn about their residents being on the hook for downright insane federal spending rates. And yes, Congress need be aware that absurd spending rates may very well garner a giant F U from some states, backed up with willingness to engage in civil war over the issue; instead, we’ve got “direct taxation” whereby the states just shrug at distraught residents and say “your problem, pay up”.
