Well, at the time Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship. So his parents had to give up his citizenship. And he was registered, at a private Catholic school, as an Indonesian Muslim.

Further, any minor who does renounce his citizenship, can have it reinstated upon application within six months of turning 18.

True. But there is no sign or record that Obama ever applied to regain his U.S. citizenship.

Except parents can't do that.

But there is no sign or record that Obama ever applied to regain his U.S. citizenship.

Nor is there any sign or records that he renounced it.
