GOP Strategists Plot to Ban Donald Trump From Debates
Gateway Pundit ^ | July 23,2015 | Jim Hoft

One idea that came up was to urge three leading candidates — Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor; Mr. Walker; and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida — to band together and state that they would not participate in any debate in which Mr. Trump was present, using his refusal to rule out a third-party bid as a pretext for taking such a hard line.

The thinking, according to a Republican involved in the conversations, was that the lesser-funded prospects who have been eclipsed by Mr. Trump would follow suit, and the TV networks airing the debates would be forced to bar Mr. Trump in order to have a full complement of candidates.

The Republicans are VERY good at banding together and coming up with a strategy to ensure they come out victorious when it comes to dealing with rogue Republicans. When it comes to fighting Democrats, foreign governments, lobbyists, etc... they always seem to find a way to miss victory by just a hair despite “trying their very hardest”.

Full disclosure: I don’t like Trump and wouldn’t vote for him but this is nuts.

I don’t know about anyone else, but this makes me even more an advocate for Trump. These idiots, no wonder they lose elections.

If they're afraid to face Trump in a debate, let them run. There are others who would love to take their place.

There are people who don't agree with everything Trump has done - like me - but the man has as much a right to run as any RINO!

Let the man speak. So far, He's the only person willing to take a stand. Gotta give him a kudos for that!

Jeb Bush,... Mr. Walker.... Marco Rubio

BTW, what gives these three the right to choose who WE get to hear from? Who do they think they are? Who died and made them Gods???? What gives them the right to choose our candidates for us???

If these guys decide to play dictator, they don't deserve any ones vote!

I don’t think much of the GOP establishment. On the other hand, I also don’t believe the nyt. This probably is disinformation intended to sow discord in the Republican camp.

Do that, and I will not only vote for Trump (not leaning that way now) but not vote for those three if one makes it to the nomination.

this was Donnies Plan all along!

Where is your evidence of this? On the other hand, we do have quite a bit of evidence that the gope want the D. to win. It gives them an excuse for dismantling this country.
They didn’t even try in the last two elections by running tired old has beens. They got the house, and immediately capitulated to the left, with the excuse they also needed the senate. After they got the house and senate, Mitch McConnel had this to say about TPA
“We’re in active discussion on TPA,” said McConnell, adding, “It’s an enormous grant of power, obviously, from a Republican Congress to a Democratic president, but that’s how much we believe in trade as an important part of America’s economy.”

No, the gope will do ANYTHING to keep either Trump or Cruz from the nomination, including obvious cheating so Trump will have to run 3rd party. and then all the really, really smart voters can say, “if you vote 3rd party the democrat wins”

There are so many more examples, I would be typing all day trying to name them all.

“They’ll make him go independent. Start planning Hillary’s coronation.”

You know, that might be the plan, to avoid actually winning.

I hate to say it, but if the GOPeee does this, I would not blame Trump at all.

Shades of 1992 all over again. Bush, Clinton and Perot on the ballot in that order in Tennessee. I barfed a little in my mouth looking at the choices. I judged them a right wing socialist, a left wing socialist and a fascist and voted “big L” Libertarian.

Wash, rinse and repeat in 1996 with who Phil Gramm called “the tax collector for the Welfare State” Bob Dole.

Yeah. I know. Clinton’s election was all my fault.

Voted for the lesser evil in ‘00 and ‘04, Palin in ‘08, barfed a bit again while holding my nose in ‘12 voting for Myth. I’m tired of this.

The GOP can present a clear alternative to the status quo and direction this nation is travelling, or I’m voting for the most evil candidate to hasten the collapse so we can get started fixing this mess before I get too feeble to fight.

Or it could be the RINOs plan to let Hillery win so they can continue to sit back, do nothing, and still keep all their power and luxury perks. It's easier to just lay back in the sun, drink fine wine, and let the other guys do all the power grabs.
Never trust a Washington politician. They're not in it for YOU.

Idiots. Trump would probably just show up anyway and the msm morons will cover him walking up and berating the other cowards. I’d love to see that.

If the Republicans push another RINO on us this time, they're going to lose anyway. No one likes being lied to over and over again. Eventually people will say "Enough!"
I believe people have lost their tolerance for the Washington insiders. People are waking up to the idea they're no longer a free people.

So now Republicans want to shut down debate and fair discussion not allowing the American people their right to hear all views expressed, what a typically Liberal idea.... If the RNC manages this I certainly will change my party to Independent.... I have no use for a Political party that acts just like the one I cannot stand.

You would think by the Polls that idiots in the GOP Presidential race would realize that the Republican base is begging for some straight talk... This pale pastel B.S. is the problem. Personally I think the Jeb types do this crap so that when they get elected they can then screw all of those that voted them in office by creating programs that do the same or worse than the Democrat programs?
