Somalia Village
This is ridiculous, It’s going to cost $526,000 per each unit.
Have you seen what kind of house you can get for $526,000?
Also, historic Fort Snelling is such a nice area. It sucks to think it could be trashed and dangerous to visit in a few years.
Minnesota's future = a ghetto.
But, of course; America's future = a ghetto.
Obama's Legacy.
Pruitt-Igoe.
When they build these housing projects no expense is spared on making them “green.” Add in the fact that they are shoe horning this into historic buildings and I have no doubt that the government can cause a two bedroom apartment to cost half a million dollars.
All part of the plan to destroy all neighborhoods in the name of diversitah.

Section 8 housing that will most likely be torn down in five or six years after the druggies and gangs get done with it.
$100M!? OMG! Absolute waste of tax money
New Mogadishu is born.. on the grounds of a historic site.
In-frigging-credible.
Hang on, half a mil per unit? Treasonous fools!
I caught that right off. Insane!
A good analogy for what has happened to America...
I don’t think I have ever seen *any* low income housing that has been kept up.
It’s kind of like turning Lake Tahoe into an open Sewer.
At $100 million for 190 apartments it will be over a half a million dollars each.
This is the kind of math I think Donald Trump is good at too.
actually this at least is an area where there are no residents. It’s an isolated area with just historic buildings.
But next the residents would be complaining about how far they are from anything else.
Affordable housing with a hundred million dollar price tag. Viable you think? Think this. Why in their great wisdom would “Dominium” out of Plymouth be hawking a project like this to the state government?
Commercial enterprises, investment, entrepreneurialism only needs OWNERSHIP, permits, zoning and licenses, don’t they?”
Further, to take a government owned facility with buildings from a time of the 1800s and early 1900s and turn it into “low income affordable whatsits” I guess given today’s prevailing PC winds that no taint of former Confederate associate or contamination exists.
Sounds great. Be careful what you wish for. Boston’s Big Dig was projected at $2.4B. It ended up 7 times that. And that number is still growing because of ‘problems’ with it.
I know exactly the one you are talking about.
Quite the scene in the bathroom.
