Trump attacks GOP on Twitter five times as often as he attacks Dems
Washington Examiner ^ | 22 Jul 15 | Gabby Morrongiello

Donald Trump has criticized or mocked conservative candidates, politicians, and pundits nearly five times as often as liberal-leaning folks on his personal Twitter account.

A Washington Examiner analysis of the individuals Trump has mentioned on his Twitter feed — excluding mentions included in retweets or quoted tweets — found that the Republican presidential hopeful strongly prefers to launch attacks against members of his own party on social media.

On June 21, less than a week after launching his presidential bid in New York City, Trump tweeted that GOP strategist Karl Rove "spent $430 million in the [2014 campaign] cycle and didn't win one race." In a separate tweet on the same day, the billionaire businessman called the Fox News contributor and former Bush adviser a "jerk."

Since then, Trump has tweeted a total of 46 negative remarks about Rove and other GOP presidential candidates, politicians, and pundits in comparison to the 10 times he's gone after Democratic candidates, politicians and pundits during that same time frame.

It's not the Democrats that are the real problem. Their charade has been ripped to shreds and people see them as they really are. 2010 and 2014 midterms proved that. They've been exposed and are now having a hard time hiding who they really are.

The real problem is the GOP who wears conservatism like a kabuki mask in an effort to keep real conservatives transfixed. The Donald is doing his best to rip the mask off and reveal the truth that there is little difference between the Washington GOPe and the Dems. You go, Donald!

As always, the flak gets thicker the closer in to the target you get.

You post an article saying it’s unfair for Trump to attack Karl Rove for wasting millions of his donors money as well as it’s unfair for Trump to attack Jeb Bush for being soft on immigration, etc. So you’re not on the side of the butt-hurt RINOs being called out by Trump?

I want to know if anyone thinks the GOPe should not be attacked daily?

The GOPe is the enemy. They say "vote for me because I am not a Democrat" and then as soon as the get elected they drop to their knees in front of Harry Reed and Obama and become good little service boys and girls and make sure to keep a smile on the Democrat's faces.

Care to try again?

It’s not unfair; it’s all he does. I get it. He hates Republicans. He wants to be their standard bearer and bring ride their issues. My point is why waste all your ammo on Republicans? Why join the party if you have such contempt? And how long, after doing your best to destroy and demean the party you’re allegedly in, before you pull a Perot and help get Hillary elected?

The most dangerous liberals are in the GOP. That’s who Trump has been criticizing. If the writer can’t distinguish between Republicans and conservatives, he should quit writing. We can find mindless drivel anywhere.

What friends? In the GOP-E? Hardly. Trump’s doing exactly what needs to be done.

His temperament makes him unsuited to lead.

True, but your article is misleading. When I google for Trump attacks I get the following list: McCain, Graham, Perry, Jeb Bush, lots more McCain. Those are the attacks in the news, the ones that matter.

This is the list from your article: Other right-leaning victims of Trump's online taunts include rival GOP candidates Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, and George Pataki; syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor, Charles Krauthammer; former President George W. Bush; 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney; Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace; libertarian magician and former "Celebrity Apprentice" finalist Penn Jillette; and most recently, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Not a lot of conservatives in that list. In fact, there are none.

Because the corrupt, feckless party needs to be destroyed and rebuilt.

Trump is in this mix for one objective: his own interests. Everything else is in second place.

Sure. I’ve never given anything to the Democrats, especially Hillary, as he has. But hey, that’s just me. I’m a little odd as a conservative.

His first priority, in my opinion, is go after the hypocrites in the Washington Cartels’ candidates to clear the field...that’s the hard part, then go after the demoncrats that are in total disarray and then pick them off one by one.

Because it's MY party, and it's been taken over by what used to be called Rockefeller Republicans.

I want it back.
