I sincerely believe that the Republicans will lose the Senate in 2016 and, most likely, the House.

After all, when you crap all over the people who sent you to DC to do a specific job—Stopping Obama and the DIMS—you’ll probably not enjoy their support ever again. I know I’m done with them.

This also creates a problem for the GOP presidential nominee, whomever that might be. The non-turnout by disaffected, pissed-off conservatives in 2016 may well overshadow the 2012 stay-at-home.

The dependent factions suckling at the federal teat truly have no other choice than to vote DemocRAT. Self-reliant conservatives have other options.

And before you flame me, you’d better be ready to defend the sterling job of leadership displayed by Boner and McTurtle.

That's why the next nominee has to do what Romney wouldn't do: campaign on building a national ticket. The nominee has to go into each state and run with the state candidates, saying "Vote for So-and-so to help me pass XYZ!"

Even before it gets to the convention, a smart candidate should be preparing a multi-issue platform now, and start building alliances in the states now to fund state candidates who will support the national agenda of the presidential candidate.

Let people see early the kind of team the next president wants to build. And then be prepared to defend that team when the MSM shifts to flanking attacks against the supporting candidates as they try to weaken the national candidate.

This is why national Republican candidates today shy away from details, because they know the MSM will begin to attack any specifics, and special interest groups will be organized to protest those specifics. It will take a bold candidate to put specifics out there for the people to see, and then to withstand the liberal onslaught that will follow.

It's too bad that we don't have a right-wing media to hold Democrat candidates to the same fire.
