I wonder what Stewart’s “mystery illness” was, that was reported back in October of last year. It wasn’t the first time he had to cancel shows due to illness, too. Also often reported is that the crew of the show is at each other’s throats all the time. Quite the devil-fest.

Media has become dysfunctional in the stuff they’re doing. Obama saying the VA has improved under him on the same day Trump took ownership of wanting to actually get something done helps Trump, hurts anyone who hasn’t done anything meaningful to improve the VA.
“Moving the ball forward” does not give reference to all the previous fumbles which caused you to be on your own goal line and still having the entire playing field to conquer. That bastard has been a loser since day one and still hasn’t figured out which way to run the ball.
The VA. Is the red headed step child of the Executive Branch. The politicians realize they have to maintain the infrastructure in the off chance we have a real war, 1,000 casualties per division per day. At the same time some minimal level of competence has to be maintained but at minimal expense, otherwise everyone “entitled” would use it. So that is the VA in a nutshell.
it's good not to confuse "media" with "news" or "truth". They have nothing in common. It's not dysfunctional, it's doing exactly what they want it to.
