I hope that stuff is true.

Tell you what, if he can get through the debates without blowing himself up, he could walk away with the whole enchilada without breaking a sweat by name recognition alone. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in a very big way.

Powerful, yet simple reasoning, Jim.

Nope, the GOP isn’t going to do a blessed thing to correct the many structural issues that are destroying our country - but an outsider like Trump just might have the requisite willpower and grit to begin the process of a Great Turn-around.

I’m very encouraged that he and Ted Cruz seem to have forged some sort of understanding between them. I can only imagine that it’s an alliance that will help both of them in their efforts to grab the reins back from the domestic traitors who’re killing America. I’m all for it, whatever their strategy is.

Right now, my vote will go to Trump or Fiorina or Carson.
They are the only non career politicians in the race. All three have very successful careers behind them and want to help save this nation. The others want to help their careers. Hell over half of the others four state Governors and four US Senators are currently in office. Eight states have a missing or part time Governor or senator. I guess they are too important to decide if they want to be governors, senators or president. The other five are out of office and looking to move on to top of their chosen profession.
I don’t know if I could hold my nose long enough to vote for any of the pros.

It all is true.

My dream: Cruz wins, Trump gets a cabinent position (Commerce is the logical choice), and America is revived.

Sadly, not likely to happen. /being cynical, can’t help it anymore

and it’s about time that the “business’ of this country be actually run like a business. None of the political hacks in office today could run a lemonade stand let alone this country. It’s disgraceful.

My only problem with Trump is he might bolt the GOP due to constant attacks by the gang of 14. Then he could go 3rd party, and it won’t matter whom the GOP nominates, you have your first woman president in 2016.

That will happen REGARDLESS - because the GOP-e Ruling Class is determined to shove Bush down our throats as the nominee, and even if Trump dropped out - Hillary wins against another GOP Ruling Class stooge.

Same results, even if I thought our votes mattered.

Fair assessment. The fact Trump is gaining such momentum is a sign of how bad things are and how fed up people are. We shall see what happens.

Oh the poor billionaires like Mr. Trump, (sniff), …….if they don’t give money to people corrupting the nation, they might miss a contract and then whatever shall they do? (sob), ——they might end up with only $5 billion instead of $8 billion (gag me with a silver spoon!).

Oh, the trials and tribulations of poor Mr.Trump. The small people will just never understand the utter agonies of building walls! The moral gymnastics poor Mr. Trump has been forced, FORCED, I tell you, to participate in. Can you imagine for a moment how tortured he was when he HAD TO purse those ever-pursing lips and grit those grinding teeth and write those checks to Reid and Hillary and Durbin, and that despicable little Weiner?! Oh, the tragedy, but he did it. He suffered for us, that we might be saved!

All hail Donald! Savior of America!

People that donate to both parties are sniffing for influence, i.e., crony capitalists funding rotten politicians so that they can squeeze just one more billion dollars out of a corrupt system.

What else doe a civilized person do when working with an uncivilized system? You either play the game or you can't build your business, especially when you're on Trump's level. When Trump talks about politicians being under the control of lobbyists, he was probably speaking from experience.

From my 55 years of experience as a political junkie, I don’t think Trump will drop out if his poll numbers stay as high as now. He has no reason to drop out so long he stays in 1st or 2nd place. He will never run out of money to keep running, which is the main reason candidates drop out.

Trump’s biggest advantage is he does not have or need rich donors. He can afford to be blunt and punch back hard at any one who attacks him. And that attitude seems to be connecting with voters who are sick of meek politicians who won’t fight back.

You have a good selection of 3 candidates. Not because they are the most pure, but because they can effect the most change in Washington DC.

When Trump said McCain was not a war hero, ...

I stopped reading right there.

I love what Trump is doing to the Republican Establishment, but I don’t entirely trust his record.

Is it possible that his views have changed? yes. But is it likely he’s changed that much on that many issues? No.

I’ll take a guy who agrees with me on half the issues but willing to fight for those issues, than a guy who tells me he agrees with me on 90% of the issues, but then caves on all of them.

Cruz is still #1 for me, but Trump is probably tied with Walker at #2 right now.

It’s not what is in his record. He is the alarm clock continuously going off in every home, and they can’t turn him off. He is a 10,000 watt spotlight shining on the Roach Hotel that is Washington. He is waking people up, and regardless of what he is, the awakening is a good thing.

If Donald Trump is a lemon, then it’s our job to make lemonade.

I really don’t think he’s the devil he’s made out to be. I knew Bill Clinton was scum two seconds after I heard him back in 90 or therabouts. Trump’s real. He’s not a con artist. Abrasive at times, but used car salesman, no.
