Controversial Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leads the GOP primary in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll...
That's even though a majority of Americans, including most Republicans, say Trump does not represent the Republican Party's core values, and six in 10 overall -- including three in 10 in his own party -- say they wouldn't consider him for president were he the GOP nominee. ...
How long the Trump surge will last is an open question; this poll was conducted Thursday through Sunday before his controversial criticism Saturday of Sen. John McCain's status as a war hero. And Trump's support was conspicuously lower Sunday than in the first three previous days.
Trump's support was 28 percent in this survey's first three nights of polling. While the sample size of registered leaned Republicans on Sunday is quite small, he dropped to single digits that day.

“Au contraire! The GOP DOES have A core value: PRETEND like we have conservative values UNTIL we get elected and THEN sell out to the highest bidders. Of course, thats an unwritten core value, but its nonetheless quite real.”
nail hit on head.
Not even that.
They’re all already wealthy.
Maybe it’s just... staying in power.
The Sunday sampling, after the Washington Post smear went viral, simply wrecked him. The next poll won’t be pretty.

Imagine this: Trump announces that he will build a $20,000,000 business, restaurant, apartment, entertainment complex in Utah starting in Jan. 2016, and it will be ready quickly a year later in Jan. 2017.
I bet that such a huge project will earn Trump a few presidential votes, because the good people of Utah know that if anyone could bring the expensive project---one that would create a lot of Utah jobs---to a successful completion and on time, it would be Trump.
Very unfortunate, as we no longer have any party that represents us.
Trump is smashing the establishment anointed candidates. This is good. He is also making the media pajamaboys cry like little girly girls.
the media is tryng to analogize to ross perot but ross perot was never serious other than being a spoiler. Perot just did not want bush to win period.
Trump is playing smart by not kow towing to the effetes.
The Republican party’s core values appear to be fascism as a means to return to feudalism. Secondary values are the same as the Democrats.
Hmm. I just said I WASN’T offended. Or can’t you read?
I am an evangelical and not looking to elect the pope or rev Graham to WH, but someone who will turn this country around and tear down this corrupt govt and political parties. Evangelicals want an end to GOPe more than anyone.
Hillary no....Jeb no....Trump yes. Evangelicals just had 2 terms of a Christian hating Muslim in WH.
I see two futures being decided this election. More Obama like future, with more socialism. Or someone who will make America great again, free market anti establishment capitalism. Trump vs Hillary and Hillary goes down in flames. There is this huge voter anger in this country and it isn’t just conservatives who are angry. Nobody other than the rino herd wants Bush, he is a loser from the get go.
It’s the economy, stupid. 1992
Sorry.
Well. That’s 6 Electoral votes. Ever so slightly short.
B/S...saw him today at Rally in Bluffton, SC. THERE IS NO vulnerability!!!
And hopefully propelling Dr. Kelli Ward to the top as well.
Ok. Thought it was odd. Thanks.
Was Cruz running against anyone as bad as ObaMao in 2012? I will say that Romney didn’t go out of his way to poke conservatives in the eye with a sharp stick the way Jeb and McCain do.
There are so many Bush-bots hovering under rocks and crevices just waiting to come out in force.
