I was assigned to Peterson AFB during the time Space Command was activated (1981-84 — AFSPACE activated in ‘82). Pete Field was a great assignment. If you have time, make a visit to the Edward J. Peterson Museum. I was part of the curator team back in ‘84. It’s a great stop on a tour schedule.
