Is Donald Trump the great political unifier we’ve all been waiting for?
The Washington Post ^ | July 20, 2015 | Colby Itkowitz

For years now we’ve heard about the divisive and unproductive rhetoric plaguing progress in Washington.

There may finally be an antidote: Donald Trump.

That’s right. Hear us out.

Trump as bulldozer, plowing down anyone who dare stand in his path, has created a common villain in this chapter of the presidential campaign. Democrats and Republicans still do not agree on virtually any policy issues, but they are unified in their condemnation of Trump’s bombast.

'Democrats and Republicans still do not agree on virtually any policy issues, but they are unified in their condemnation of Trump’s bombast.'

BZZZZZZ. Wrong conclusion. The Speaker and the Majority Leader are fully on board with 0bama over policy. They just use Kabuki Theatre to pretend they aren't.

Trump is their turd in the uni-party punchbowl. Which is exactly why he is enjoying such public support over his changing of the conversation.

So that's our plan to take out Trump at the knees ... but dammit John don't cry about it.

I think there are those of us that would like to vote for him if that’s what you mean.

Who cares about unifying!? We need to take back the country from the extreme left! That is priority #1!

The fact wapo is pumping him up says they want him because they know he'll lose.

Trump was “very” pro abortion and now says he's Prolife. He says he's evolved on gay marriage and single payer health care. This guys been married 3 times and I bet his wives have a lot to say about him, when the general election begins, but not before, that way we're stuck with him. He's hinted he will be Ross Perot if he losses. He just wants the win, to hell with the country or the people. He knows how to stir the pot to get people angry and excited. There's no firm foundation there. It's quicksand.

He reminds me of a televangelist without religion.

Have you seen his daughter? She can run the whole thing as good or better than her father. All he needs to rectify is the losers and failures in D.C. by throwing them out. Try to post something different sometime, I keep see the same B.S. from you.

Work in a large corporation. Two black guys discussing Trump in the hallway and laughing hard. They were laughing at Trump’s fearless say anything attitude regarding McCain, they like him.

Never saw anything like it. Encouraging.

He reminds me of a successful businessman who’s done many backroom deals, sick enough of what he’s seeing happen to the country and arrogant enough to think he can make a difference. And maybe sees this as the ultimate way of proving Trump is Trump.

I still have questions, still very early.

I have faith in Cruz, I have to believe his judgement of Trump’s character. If they joined up, not only zero hesitation, I’m putting life on hold to assist.

"Trump was “very” pro abortion and now says he's Prolife."

I was pro-abortion 30 years ago. Now, I am the author of this little ditty. People can change their views.

WHO is asking for a unifier??

Only the liberals want that. They hate to lose and demand conservative candidates stop being conservative and include all their insane ideas.

I don’t want a “unifier”, I want someone to represent ME!

Yes, Trump has cause the two branches of the Uniparty, RINO’s and Democrats, to join forces openly, rather than in secret.
