Because the only difference remaining between the parties is this: Democrats would vote to kill their own mothers if their thrown a bone for their district; Republicans will do it without the perks.

Collusion - there is only an illusion of opposition. The repubs and dems are just 2 components of the political class.
They collude to guarantee reelection for those that play ball. They throw national dollars at local elections of trouble makers, like Allen west.
This collusion is enough to grant the political class a majority year in and year out. Our elected officials are no longer representatives first.
In order to win a battle, there must be two opposing forces. When brilliant minds send people to DC that campaign on working WITH OBAMA, and they aren’t open Democrats, the problem is rather obvious.
