Do we have any populists running for president?
Trump?
Cruz?
Walker?
Rubio?
Yeah. I call that the GOP. After all, they handed Obama everything he wanted on a silver platter.
Well they did promise that exact thing. I see Jeb is doubling down on it today too.
Yea right. The people that elected them aren’t going to do anything but reelect them no matter what because it’s a lesser evil and we gotta unite behind the GOP and the time to complain was last year and a million other liberal excuses.
Am I wrong? I doubt it. They did it the last 2 elections running.
We are PAST the point of elections mattering anymore.
We lost the country in a velvet coup - and illusions will be created to placate the masses ingot hinting they have a voice in what goes on.
That has been self-evident since last November, and those who refuse to see it are as much a problem as those who support this Fascist oligarchy running under a dictatorship.
I agree. We had this conversation before. But I still say go down fighting.
Sheet......the Pubbies are about there too!!!
This is different, I think. A vote yes is a vote for Iran.
There is literally no long term upside for voting yes.
There was no upside to running a liberal on the GOP ticket in 12 either. Didn’t stop them.
It’s too bad most limit the concept of ‘going down fighting’ to casting a ballot.
This people do not comprehend, nor understand, nor will allow themselves to understand that you cannot defeat tyranny via civil means.
This is because the rule of law and morality as we were established upon does not exist in a tyranny
And thats why history always repeats. Always. No exceptions.
Electing Obama is what allowed this deal to happen. Cotton was right, but this deal was happening either way. The Corker bill is just optics.
Wrong. Without the Corker bill, Obama would have needed 67 votes for this deal. With the Corker deal, Comgress ceded it’s right to approve treaties and now forces Congress to the one to get 67 votes to stop him.
Nope, treaties require 67 votes, and Corker doesn’t make it a treaty. It is an executive agreement, and it would take 67 votes to reject it either way.
I wish this was a simple treaty between us and Iran and could have been rejected. However, the negotiations included the balance of the eight major trading nations that boycotted Iran. Once the sanctions from these other nations were released, and Obama got it to the UN with the US forced to go along with the Security Council, the provisions that congress can now dispute are just eye-wash.
Any President can ignore Congress in the UN.
Corker passed because Obama was going to use the UN and executive branch powers to give away the store regardless. Corker was a way for Schumer and democrats to save face, nothing more.

Traitors faces shouldn’t be saved.
