“Conservative” Governors like John Kasich and Susanna Martinez expanded Medicaid in order to receive Obamacare money, they are thinking SHORT TERM.
Federal aid stops in 3 years and their respective state has to kick in their own money to accommodate the surging enrollees.
Where are they going to get the additional money? Tax? Borrow?
Maybe they’re optimistic enough to believe that their future economy will be growing enough so that there are more tax payers who can help pay for their soon to be ballooning cost.
In California they are tapping the estates of those over 55 for their free healthcare should they die and leave anything behind.
Even if the folks never used the healthcare the state of California still has plans to bill and confiscate a good portion of people’s estates.
Been a potential recourse before but now the state is implementing it probably to help pay for government Union pensions.
Perhaps the main hidden goal of Obamascare was to bankrupt the states to make the completely subservient to the federal government....

The term “hero” is used so much that it doesn’t even mean anything anymore. A kid calls 911 and he’s a hero. Hell, a dog barks when there’s a fire and he’s a hero.
Obamacare was about Medicaid expansion on the way to single-payer and Republican “compassionate conservative” governors walked right into this debacle.

Unless we elect 20 or so more conservatives to the House and they lower the federal payments to save the country financially.
Or we elect 30 or so more socialists and they decrease federal support to increase it on other welfare programs.
