A group of injured American servicemen are teaming up to track down child predators and rescue their victims.
The ICE/HERO program not only has a noble aim, it is allowing injured veterans to make use of their skills to aid our most vulnerable.
Meet Cpl. Justin Gaertner and Sgt. Gabriel Martinez. Both men were Marines who lost their legs during the same attack while serving in Afghanistan. Now they are partnered together conducting computer forensics needed to track down sex traffickers.
The program, which was originally limited to only US Special Operations Command veterans is now open to all medically retired vets from all services.
The vets are trained in the computer skills they need to determine probable cause, and may even go on raids to seize hard drives, software, or digital devices used in the exploitation of children.

Why don’t they hunt Muslims? Just asking.
Please check out Burger Kings for Scott Ritter.
A whole team of Oracles, nice.
You gotta be a big batman fan to get that.
Not sure the two are mutually exclusive, why can’t they look everywhere these vermin are? These are good men, serving their country after they have returned home as wounded warriors! Carrying on another war here at home. They are to be honored for both.
Yeah no kidding there!
Why is Immigration and Customs Enforcement the agency operating this program?
I believe it has to do with child trafficking on the border. Just part of what these guys do.
Agreed. Rats are rats.
It is very mentally tough work. I worked cases with these folks before. I asked them how they did it. One guy said he relied on the tough federal sentencing guidelines. The suspect in that case was in his sixties. He was looking at a mandatory 20 years. That is going to be a life sentence for him.
