In a weekend interview with Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker about whether the Boy Scouts should allow gay troop leaders, CNN's Dana Bash asked Walker, "Do you think being gay is a choice?"
"I don't have an opinion on every single issue out there. To me, that's, I don't know," Walker answered. "I don't know the answer to that question."
The Wisconsin governor said he supports the current ban that keeps openly gay leaders out of the organization but that he believes the Boy Scouts, not government, should ultimately be able to decide that kind of policy.

“Most people wont choose to have a mental illness... So what Walker is saying is true.
Engaging in homosexual acts is a choice... The underlying mental illness is not.”
Best analysis I’ve seen on the subject.
The catch 22 for Walker is not just political, but he and Tonette have raised their sons to view this aberration as normal. They have regular vacations with a gay couple in their family and host parties with them, even allowing their son to be Best Man in their wedding.
Excellent, brilliant. Some of the best and brightest on free republic. Hope moderators appreciate the talent here
Thank you for that irrefutable summation of what causes homosexuality straight from God’s Word.
I suggest a full read of this.
You disagree with this statement? For good or bad the decision is up to the Boy Scouts. Who else should make that decision? Engaging in homosexual behavior is certainly a choice unless you believe humans are complete slaves to biological impulses.
with all the major sh*t going down in the world, faggy dana bash wants to talk about whether people are born gay or turn gay.
who gives a damn?
Now, I LIKE that answer!
The governor is ethically challenged and acting with cowardice, but I'm sure his advisers are labeling it shrewd.
Does a voter have a choice? Must they choose despots?
Does a governor have a choice? Must he pander to the PC doctrines of the left?
The real honest answer is, “It doesn’t matter. God says it is an abomination, so that’s all we need to know.”
Just damn. Absolute smartest people on earth are right here. Thanks Captain.
Pure Genius you are. I am surrounded this afternoon by absolute brilliant people.
Walker may be all wishy washy not knowing anything but this voter knows for certain he won’t be getting this vote.
If you say gays are born that way, you’re saying they have no free choice.

That might have to be sarcasm, ‘cause I’ve never been accused of being among FR’s best and brightest!
here’s the answer we should give to that question:
everyone is born sinful and falls short of the glory of God so yes, they are born that way. But, God would not have ‘made’ them gay then told them it is a sin that leads to death. So, all people can change.
The Wisconsin governor said he supports the current ban that keeps openly gay leaders out of the organization but that he believes the Boy Scouts, not government”.
The ultimate government insider, the father of open sodomy in the US Armed Forces, homosexualist Robert Gates, is the reason the Boy Scouts have abandoned God and now accept perversion and degeneracy in their ranks. The average rank and file mother and father of these young men I would suspect are 99% against letting their sons sleep in a tent with a man that enjoys sex with another man, the younger the better. The goal of the homosexual fascists is to take over every aspect of society and they are well on their way due to the efforts of lunatics like Robert Gates. I wonder how many millions of dollars this sell-out has been given by the filthy rich sodomite lobby to destroy everything that was good and decent about the Armed Forces and now the Boy Scouts of America. Has Gates revised the Boy Scouts oath yet? That’ll be his last official act as President of the BSA, getting rid of the words “God” and being “morally straight”.
I don’t think that would make a concise enough answer for an interview.
Your half gay gene comment was hilariously brilliant
