“Maybe the postal worker was stoned, or hung over.”

Maybe the postal worker was a space alien that looked like a cross between a giant tree frog and a centipede.

If we’re doing evidence free speculation, let’s go big and have fun with it.

Counterfactual history can be fun.

This morning C-SPAN3 replayed an event about WWII (originally aired May 4, 2015). David Kennedy, history professor at Stanford, was one of the speakers. He recounted a conversation where he was asked what difference it would have made to world history if on Nov. 22, 1963, Nikita Khrushchev had been assassinated and not John F. Kennedy.

Before he could answer, the man offered this: Aristotle Onassis would not have married Mrs. Khrushchev.
