Not enough water for this snake.

Damn, you almost want to say something cold about the owner of that car that he would allow that to happen.........but it could have been some soccer mom yapping on her cell phone that caused it and it was beyond his control.

Still, what a waste.

I can’t believe it is even legal to keep poisonous snakes, especially any that are not native to the area. Cobras? Are they out of their friking minds? Then there is the risk to others when they inevitably escape.

I caught and kept non poisonous snakes as a kid, but it was a rotten thing to do to deprive them of their freedom, and the rodent killing/rattler killing benefits. If they are raised in captivity that is a bit different, but taking them out of their natural habitat was just selfish.

Kids don’t think much beyond their own selfish desires.

Actually reasonably easy to repair I’d think.
Similar to a Nascar chassis.
Saw off the bent parts, weld on straight ones.
Replace body panels.

Please, for the sake of all that is Holy, tell me that was a Kit Car and not a real Cobra.

Pythons have a reputation for being ill tempered, it’s one reason why there is a thriving population of them in Florida.

Their owners thought that had a pet they could play with and had to deal with hissing and biting so they turned them loose.

Add venom and a similar bad temper and you have a cobra, and since the cobra is not indigenous to Austin, the hospitals don’t keep antivenom for it hanging around.

THANK YOU for that.

My Ex B-I-L had a really nice Cobra Kit car, Red with White stripes and Side Pipes. It was pretty slick.

If this was in Texas, I’m pretty sure the snake died of lead poisoning.

...Fiberglass bodied replica...
Yep. The originals had an aluminum body.
I shopped a used one in 1967. The asking price was $7,500. A brand new small block 1967 Corvette Roadster was $3,900. Funny thing. What I didnt like about the Cobra was that the windows popped in rather than roll down. I got the Corvette.

I don’t think too many of the originals get hooned but a LOT of the repros do.

I think in the next 20 yrs there will be a lot of reasonably priced Vettes on the market.

We watched the Bloomington Gold 1000 Corvette parade a couple weeks ago.

90% of the owners were 60 or older.

They’ll be dead or unable to climb in and out.

On Duck Dynasty the boys found a roadkill rattlesnake and chased Si with it, seems he’s frightened of snakes, he ran away even though it was quite dead. One of them said he was going to have it made into sausage. Si said why bother, it’s already in sausage form. So, they chased him with it again. Hahaha!

Any Cobra with a Bow Tie engine should be dead.

Cobra bit the dude and they both died.

There’s a joke there somewhere.

Not to mention a New Darwin Award winner!
