Cruz is saying things like this, but recall there is a media black out on Cruz. They are trying to pretend he does not exist. Even the NYT tried to supress his book from their best seller list until they were exposed. We are probably seeing about 10% of what Cruz is saying and doing.

They can’t do that to Trump. He started with a larger megaphone. So, they are amplyfying everything he says trying to either make something stick or wait until he truly and fully shoves his foot in his mouth.
The thing about Trump’s high wire act is its mesmerizing precisely because of how daring it is. Eventually he’s going to go an inch too far and the whole thing will come crashing down.
At least, the media prays to their false gods that will happen.
And the GOPe is right there on their knees alongside the media in fervent repose.
