Congressional Republicans have already capitulated on Obama’s disastrous Iran deal
AEIdeas ^ | July 15, 2015 | Marc A. Thiessen

the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act that Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) negotiated with Obama guarantees that the Republican Congress will give its stamp of approval to Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran.

Worse, it gives Democrats political cover by allowing them to vote against the Iran agreement without actually killing it – so they can say they opposed this disastrous deal without actually delivering an embarrassing defeat to their president.

Instead of requiring that Congress vote to affirmatively approve the Obama-Iran agreement before it can take effect, Congressional Republicans agreed to move forward with a “resolution of disapproval” – which allows the agreement to take effect unless it is disapproved by Congress.

...

Democrats who need political cover to vote “no” will be released by their leadership to do so, so long as their votes don’t jeopardize the final outcome.

The resident will prevail, and Democrats like Sen. Chuck Schumer will be able to say they opposed their president and stood with Israel – when they really didn’t.

...

This week, the Obama Administration cut a deal that will pave the way for an Iranian nuclear bomb. But weeks ago, Congressional Republicans cut a deal that paved the way for Obama’s disastrous nuclear agreement with Iran.

So let’s not pretend the Congressional debate over the next 60 days is anything other than a farce.

The GOP is the party that first imposed gay marriage,
began RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE, continued ObamaCARE,
covered up Benghazi and the IRS attacks on conservatives,
imposed ObamaTRADE, armed al Qaeda,
kept the border open towards Amnesty of ANYONE,
and ignored Islamic terrorist murders time after time.

The GOP = Gruber 4 Obama Party

Although there are numerous examples just since last November, this as much as any gaffe is a great reason to demand that McConnell and Boehner be removed from their leadership positions. There two clowns are a complete joke, and may as well have a 'D' next to their names.

The same goes for Republicans on votes. They’re all compromised one way or other.

Very few of them are doing what’s right or best for America.

Honestly, what the heck could motivate the House and Senate leadership to agree to such a deal? It boggles the mind.

To say they capitulated implies they even fought it in the first place.

Senator Corker is from Tennessee, the place where the muslim terrorist (lone wolf or not) murdered four Marines.

Yet he effectively paves the way for 0bama to give Iranian muslims cash to expand their terrorist operations, and very possibly procure a nuke.

Corker is a Republican. Am I missing something?

Way to put it succinctly, Diogenesis.

Anyone wants to know the rationale for a viable third party needs go no further than your current post.

If a political solution were still possible, a third party the way to go.

.... Just out of curiosity ..... Is there even an actual reason why we have elections in the United States? I know there used to be but apparently there isn’t one any more.
