It’s a rotten way to treat the employees when a phone call ahead of time would negate the problem. Is that too much to ask of an employer?

Then businesses need to be pro-active on this before government "fixes" what is probably small problem and makes it into a large problem.

I agree with you. I see the point of the original post, but, don’t see that we need a federal law to deal.with it.
