Five Supreme Court Justices found within themselves the authority to rewrite the ancient definition of marriage, so a gay group has taken it upon themselves to do the same with the word of God.
In an effort to resolve “any homophobic interpretations of the Bible,” the group has come out with the Queen James Version of the Good Book.
Within its pages, they have taken the liberty of changing every verse that condemns homosexuality.
One example of the difference between the Queen James and the King James can be found in Leviticus 18:22. The original text reads as follows: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.
The new, LGBT-approved text reads: Thou shalt not like with mankind as with womankind in the temple of Molech: it is an abomination.
This new interpretation tackles each problematic verse in the same fashion, adding restrictions and disclaimers in an attempt to make Biblical condemnation of homosexuality a thing of the past. “We wanted to make a book filled with the word of God that nobody could use to incorrectly condemn God’s LGBT children, and we succeeded.”
A Meaningless Change Changes like these only matter if you believe the Bible is just another man-created book of myth and fiction, subject to the trends and whims of the times. And if you believe that, then what is the point of worrying what it says to begin with?
If you believe instead that the Bible is the divinely-inspired, perfect word of God, then changing it to fit your political sensibilities is an exercise in futility. No, actually, it’s worse than that. It encourages Christians to cherry pick which parts of the book to follow and which parts to ignore. It deceives believers into thinking they are living lives that please their Creator. Beyond the Fringe If it ended with this group’s “Gay Bible,” it would be nothing more than a trivial story to laugh at. But there is ample reason to suspect that the “Queen James Version” could have a much larger influence on Scripture in the years to come. It wouldn’t surprise us to see these new gay-friendly verses find a home in mainstream copies of the Bible. It’s not even beyond the realm of possibility that these verses could eventually set the new standard while versions that retain the “homophobia” fall out of fashion.
Remember when the LGBT lobby promised that they had no interest in attacking Christian beliefs? Remember when they swore that they merely wanted equal rights? Yeah, those were lies if you haven’t figured it out by now. They didn’t – and don’t – want tolerance. They want fealty. -
(Hey, if Jehovah’s Witnesses can do it with their Watchtower version...the Mormons do it with their “Joseph Smith” version...why not this homosexual group?)
Oh my, speaking strictly to the bible’s language, not so fast queenie. In the endless quest to change the meaning of words, queenie has created a conundrum. Using their logic, ex.
Ephesians 5:22 - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. They want to do away with words husband and wife, replacing with spouse or whatever other PC term. Using the generic spouse, how do they decide which one submits? Very simplistic, I know, but just sayin’. The Lord moves in mysterious ways. No way will He allow this silliness toward His Word. His meaning is clear and will not allow reinterpretation. What a revelation, IMHO...it seems He assured try, as they might, His Word is unassailable! I’m sure there are MANY such examples...tip of the iceberg.
This is why we are to "study to show ourselves approved unto God." Christians know the difference between the word of man and the Word of God.

They can’t rewrite the fact that Natural selection created Sex because it increases fitness of species.
And they can’t rewrite the fact that what they’ve selected for worship isn’t Sex - but mutual masturbation.
The pastors of the small churches and the mega churches sit silently as the Word of God is mocked.
Yes they are...some are silent because innately they agree with the mockery; many others are so because they know they will get no backing from their superiors...the one thing high ranking church leaders do not want to hear is controversy; it creates discord, and discord interrupts the weekly collection routine...

My point was: You don't too many FREEPERs lecturing conservative Mormons for having rewritten the Bible these past 180+ years...so...they are suddenly going to care when a new cult on the block has done it for a few weeks?
Once upon a time, I did spend some time in San Fran witnessing re: Jesus Christ to the heroine addicts & homosexuals on the streets there.
Only Jesus Christ can free these serious bondages.
