endured a barrage of comments like: 'What's up, Beautiful?'; 'Smile!' and 'God bless you, Mami...'. What a humorless society we've become when saying "God bless you" or "What's up, Beautiful?" is now considered a hate crime. I guess in 21st Century America we should not interact, not acknowledge the existence of others, not have a moment of humor or banter with strangers. Life is grim enough without deliberately going out of the way to excise any bit of fun from it.
