Congress has 60 days to assess the accord and decide whether to pursue legislation imposing new sanctions on Iran or prevent Obama from suspending existing ones. The president renewed his vow to veto any such legislation

What a lot of cr**. This should be under "advise and consent" not legislative action with an up and down vote with no veto involved.

What deal? The US didn’t make a deal. The US capitulated on every principle and declared victory. It’s Munich in the 1930’s. The GOP simply has it set up that politically the Dems get the credit/blame for this deal as most GOPers will likely vote against it. If the deal is seen as a mistake in a few years, the Dems will be be in the bulls-eye. Perhaps its good politics, but it’s crappy leadership. Then again, what else should we expect from political weasels.

Welcome to the Middle East nuclear arms race. Once the Saudis, Kuwaitis, Omanis, and Jordanians all have the bomb because of Iran getting one in a few years, I’m sure the region will be much more stable.
Maybe they’ll all save us the trouble and nuke each other into oblivion!
