I am no fan of NBF, but this is just wrong. The man is dead. Leave him and his family in peace.
In 1905 he and his wife were dug up from the cemetery where they wanted to be buried and moved to the memorial in that park, and essentially put onto public display.
The pretext here is stupid, but apparently the couple’s remains will be returned to where they really wanted to be. So I’m ok with it. And as an added benefit the stupid taxpayers in Memphis get to pay for it.
