If he goes anywhere it should be a military cemetery with full honors as the law declares he is entitled to.

Thus far, they remain up.

I am no fan of NBF, but this is just wrong. The man is dead. Leave him and his family in peace.

Doesn’t an exhuming usually have to go through a court and a judge give permission ???
even for suspected crime ???

Makes me wonder where Byrd is buried. And if they will exhume his body and bury elsewhere, so as not to taint the graveyard with KKK presence.......

Democrats digging up dead democrats to clean up their own race guilt and republicans trying to stop them from doing it instead of pointing it out to them.

I am appalled that southern history is being so decimated, it is what it is, but if they insist on this carnage, I vote he goes to a military cemetery, too.

In 1905 he and his wife were dug up from the cemetery where they wanted to be buried and moved to the memorial in that park, and essentially put onto public display.
The pretext here is stupid, but apparently the couple’s remains will be returned to where they really wanted to be. So I’m ok with it. And as an added benefit the stupid taxpayers in Memphis get to pay for it.
To: mojito
I really don’t think that would be a good idea.

Maybe while they are at it, maybe they could dig up Elvis’ grave and put an end to the speculation of whether or not he is still alive? This would be serving humanity just as much as digging up Forrest’s grave.
