Trump's big mouth 'will save thousands of lives' (Jackie Mason)
WND ^

Posted on 07/13/2015 5:18:58 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Donald Trump will save “thousands and thousands of lives” with his “big mouth” and statements about illegal immigration, maintained comedian Jackie Mason during a radio interview Sunday.

Mason posited Trump “is the only guy who tells the truth,” and his remarks on criminal illegal aliens are “threatening the Republican Party.”

*snip*

“And he’s making a fool out of them by being honest. And an honest person is intolerable amongst thieves.”

Klein asked Mason whether he thinks Trump stands a chance of actually landing the GOP nomination for 2016.

“There’s no question about it that not only does he stand a chance,” replied Mason, “but I see it as very strong possibility that he is going to bury all of them, and he is going to come out the big winner.”

Actually Cruz has been just as honest as Trump...just not quite as flamboyant. And Trump has a huge amount of name recognition.

Dear Rooster,

With Trump, there is no birther issue, for those who vote ‘WASP’ to bother with.

Trump is becoming the George Steinbrenner of Presidential politics.

He speaks his mind and gets in your face about it.

Don’t like it ?

Tough s@*t !

What I don’t see mentioned regarding Trump is that he is a television veteran. It’s not name recognition alone, or even being recognized for tough-minded truth-telling (and self-promotion), which is also part of it. It’s that he knows how to talk in the cadence that reaches the mass-market, reality-TV audience, and he’s talking about policy. It’s a devastating combination. If he’s running, he will bring in lots of people who don’t usually vote. Or think.

If there wasn’t so many turd world imports in NY and NJ I believe if given the chance the majority of real Americans would vote for Trump along with many crossover votes. These states would support one of their own tough talkers, common sense kinda guy. Not enough to tip the scales though-—too many morons but there’s always a slim chance.

Last time I looked Cruz was in 8th or 9th place in the polls.
I guarantee the Cruz supporters will have hissy fits if Cruz does not make the cut for the debates.

Maybe Trump ought to start buying airtime. Run ads telling voters his solutions.

The left and RINOs would go NUTS.

I can’t comment on Trump’s ability to reach a reality-TV audience, since I have never watched a reality TV show, including Trump’s. However, I do like how he talks about policy.

Exactly, Trump is a household name and gets attention while others are ignored.

The DC media complex hates the fact he has outed there destruction of the US to a once apathetic masses.

They fear he had awoken them .

They have now issued non stop attacks on him from all sides .

Maybe the only politician, but certainly not the only guy ...

YOur’e right. Was in a huge argument with my brother about this, who basically mocked Trump, saying he would flame out like Sarah Palin.

Big difference. Palin was not ready for prime time. She would be now, but Trump has honed in his persona. His comfort zone in the media is huge, probably even greater than REagan.

I love his press conferences. Truman like. Quick answers.

I would respect him 1000% if he’d committ to the GOP win or lose. Would like to see him matched with Carla Fiorina. TEd CRuz could be AG, and his first SCOTUS choice.

It’s that he knows how to talk in the cadence that reaches the mass-market, reality-TV audience, and he’s talking about policy.

He brings his reality show fans into the race. The Quintessential LIV. And with Trump at the top of the ticket the Republicans get all those votes.

Go Trump.

Somehow I think the Trump phenomenon will end up benefitting Cruz. Eventually Trump’s hubris will wear on people, and they will look around for a more personable, but courageous, candidate with a similar immigration policy.

That Friday press conference including families who lost loved ones at the hands of illegals showed what Trump can do. He gave them the opportunity to speak for their loved ones and the heartache they still feel....Trump didn't speak for them. He showed great compassion and comfort in that environment.

Whether it's third party or as the 'pub against hillary, that style is a winning one, compared to those cold-hearted out of touch beasts. JMHO

If Cruz doesn’t make it, he did it to himself. He dealt with the devil on that very bad trade authorization bill and got played.
