Unless Confederate soldiers are buried there. The Confederacy was a LEGALLY SEPARATE COUNTRY when these men died. If you follow this logical course, then no American flags should be flying over the cemetery in Normandy. They should only fly the Fernch flag.
Be careful with that logic since a lot of brave Germans also died on D-Day.
