Fan is short for fanatic.
We’ve seen enough of that kind of political worship from the past. The man speaks the truth. You don’t need to be a fan or fanatic to like that.

Fan also stands for Fantastic, as in fantastic someone finally had the courage to say seal the border, stop the mass immigration insanity.

The only truth Doanld Trump knows is self promotion. He might love the country, but he has no core values.......at all....not even a smidgen.
Fanatic is the origin of the word “fan” but now “fan” just means “someone who likes X”, it does not imply irrationality so you don’t need to object to it’s use on semantic grounds.
