I don’t have a candidate yet - it’s TOO EARLY. KEEP STUDYING THEM! Early knee-jerk reactions can kill us, and HAS.
But to answer your question, NO CANDIDATE SHOULD SAY RIGHT UP FRONT THAT THEY CAN STAY. It only encourages more illegal immigration.
Candidates should say SECURE THE BORDER FIRST, then let’s talk about the rest.
“Secure the border first and then lets have a conversation about what to do with those illegals already here.”
That is verbatim what Cruz has said.
Have you noticed that the Dems and their RINO allies insist that securing the border and “reform” are linked?
In other words, they say we cannot have one without the other. And they will insist on “reform” first.
And when we start talking `border security’ they shut down.
After they get reform (amnesty), border security will remain two rusty strands of barbed wire in busy crossing areas. That’s the way the amnesty crowd wants it.
Our uninvited foreign guests have been lurking in the shadows for 30 years now, so they can wait a little while longer while we get our salient problem, border security, addressed, don’t you think? I mean, they weren’t dragged here, kicking and screaming. They aren’t going anywhere.
We’re just waiting on the Democrats who want their votes and dues, the McCains, Bushes and the other venal RINO bastards, and miscellaneous special interest groups—US Chamber of Commerce, SEIU, Mexican Bund groups like La Raza, etc.—to step up, finally, and admit something thus far that they refuse to admit ...
America has an interest here as well.
If we do this again it will be for the last time or the shame next time will be on us and not them.
