He's going to have to depopulate much of what the Southern states have in Statuary Hall then.

I wish that were true. But honestly the Republicans have been falling all overthemselves to join the anti-Confederate jihad with absolutely no need for help from the Democrats.

His district’s voters have had several elections to do just that. Instead, they voted for the status quo.

These dolts sure know how to unnecessarily drag out a meaningless issue. What a bunch of moronic putzes.

Evidently the monied interests are upset.
Boehner doesn’t visit the bathroom without instructions from lobbyists.

and a potential vote on the issue was only making matters worse for Republican leaders trying to embrace the national mood following the mass murder last month in a Charleston church. Boner and those others aren't leaders. Leaders don't "embrace moods", they follow consistent principles, something few Republicans in DC have done for a couple of decades or more.

I figure, if Democrats want to feel guilty about slavery and Jim Crow, as well they should, let them. There is no reason, however, for the rest of us to get involved in their guilt-fest. If you aren’t a Democrat, it wasn’t you.
